Overview of Job Function(s):
This position is responsible for planning and purchasing of finished goods inventory.
Work under general supervision to perform Inventory Planning activities for assigned product portfolio to optimize inventory, minimize cost, and achieve customer service goals.

  • Includes forecasting, capacity planning, execution oversight, and monitoring and reporting of results
  • Contribute to the planning aspects of new product launches during the pre-launch phase
  • Complete spreadsheet analysis during issue resolution or scenario planning
  • Query databases for information required for decision-making
  • Provide oversight of manufacturing, inventory deployment and distribution to ensure high level of customer service
  • Conduct analysis for inventory allocation where worldwide service is maximized
  • Contribute to product phase-out such that obsolete inventory is minimized

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prior Demand and/or Supply Planning experience in a Retail, Manufacturing or Consumer Goods organization
  • Demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory control, and monitoring and reporting of results
  • Manage regional demand planning for assigned portfolio
  • Work with Global Manufacturing teams, Sales, and Product Management teams to ensure correct inventory plans
  • Lead planning aspects of new product launches during pre and post-launch phases
  • Perform quantitative analysis of demand, supply and inventory issues
  • Process, Monitor and Maintain Purchase Orders in ERP system

Job Skills:

  • Some College Course Work Completed, Associates Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel (V- look up, pivot tables, etc.)
  • ERP System experience (SAP preferred but not required)
  • Analytical Skills
  • Good judgement, and decision-making ability
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Detail Oriented
